Kentucky Volleyball Player Recounts Her Season-Ending Injury
Jordyn leapt to block a volleyball at practice one morning, just like she had a million times before. But this time, when she landed on the hardwood, she heard something in her leg snap. Her leg buckled, and she crashed onto the hardwood. Jordyn’s worst fear was later realized during a physical examination: she was diagnosed with a torn achilles, a season-ending injury that would require surgery. In this patient story for UK HealthCare, Jordyn discusses the day her injury occurred, and how she perservered through her injury thanks to her Sports Medicine team.
